Mission: “Dedicated to helping first-generation, minority college students with their transition to college life, which includes providing them a functional and well-designed dorm room space to promote productivity, innovative thinking, and to alleviate the financial burden of expenses that come with decorating the space. We believe that investing in a quality space will give students the jump start they need to maximize their education.”

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our vision is to create a welcoming living environment that fosters happiness and supports academic success for students living away from home. Along with designing dorm rooms, organizations partner with us to provide graduating seniors/incoming freshman with Dorm Room Starter Packages. These packages are basic essentials to help students jump start their dorm room decor.
WHY A QUALITY DORM SPACE MATTERS
According to the PNPI, minority first-generation undergraduates face myriad barriers in their pursuit to become the first in their families to graduate college. One of the many barriers that these students face is financial challenges. First-generation students have a lower median household income and more unmet financial need than students whose parents attended college.

97.5% of The Vogue Room Foundation applicants come from one parent household making $31,000.

Studies from the National Retail Federation, college students and their families plan on spending an average of $1,200 on dorm supplies in 2021. Therefore, The Vogue Foundation goal is to alleviate the financial burden of dorm decor cost for dormitory spaces especially for first generation college students. 1 out of 3 minority students drop out their first year of college. With that being the case, The Vogue Room Foundation is adamant about changing that narrative with creating a functional and comfortable living environment for first generation college students. In hopes to increase self-confidence to attain their academic goals while living away from home.
